Come on Assembly Republicans, Rock the Boat at least a little.
Now that Ryan Jerz has become somewhat of a local celeberty, how will he use his 15 minutes?
There are two ways he could go here. He could help bolster the clout of local bloggers and encourage a bond between the MSM and the new media; OR he could stroke his own ego and take pot shots at local bloggers. In the past, he has chosen the latter. It looks like once again, he will choose the latter.
He couldn’t resist the opportunity to stroke his ego on his blog by singing his praises about being in the RGJ right after he started firing cheap shots at local conservative blogger Eric Odom.
Jerz, you are a novelty, like the pet rock. And like the pet rock, you are truely useless and your novelty will soon fade. Unless you choose to do something positive with your time in the sun, that time will have a negligable impact on the world.

Since the end of the election, folks have probably been wondering what local blogs would talk about. Turns out they are talking about EACH OTHER.
Because of the November 9, 2006 Reno News and Review article featuring some local bloggers, discussion has erupted thanks to Ryan Jerz once again opening mouth and inserting his foot. Jerz has managed to anger every blogger he mentioned and also at least one new blogger he did not mention named Thoughts, Raves & Outright Beatings (seems like my type of site, but probably not “truthful” enough for Jerz). Jerz trys to inflict his version of truth on the entire blogging community.
Jerz, you should learn to be less condecending.
Don’t listen to Jerz, keep on crankin’ local bloggers!
Now watch Jerz blast me for contradicting him…again. Thank goodness, Jerz asked to be banned from my site!
If you haven’t seen it already, you should check out the article in the November 9, 2006 Reno News and Review article titled “Up All Night”.
Unfortunately the writer of the article, Peter Thompson let our favorite insulter, Mr. Jerz discredit The Cobb Gobbler without allowing me to even show my side of the story. I have requested of the RN&R to consider at least letting me tell my side of the story instead of taking Ryan Jerz’s biased word for it. It would be nice of them to post our blog address so that people can make up their own minds.
Those of you who did not vote early (I did), please vote for what is good for our great state of Nevada and the USA and not for annoying people like Dina Titus.
Realize that without national security, there is no use for social welfare. Osama Bin Laden wants Democrats to win, vote the opposite of what the terrorists want.
Well folks we are really close to election day now and finally we have evidence that candidate for Nevada Governor, Jim Gibbons is innocent of the allegations leveled against him by Democratic partisan Chrissy Mazzeo.
One beneficial side effect of the allegations Gibbons has been forced to endure is that Dina Titus has actually been doing live interviews on radio and television. Live interviews of Titus and the sound bites that follow are helpful to the Gibbons campaign because even as I meander anonymously around the streets of Reno I actually hear people saying, “I can’t stand Dina Titus’ voice or accent!”
I see that the Reno Gazette Journal is branching out into video news. You can see Ray Hagar’s interview of Dina Titus here. Wow, doesn’t Dina Titus look, sound and act like every stereotype of a mother-in-law? Come on! Dina Titus is a college professor? She sure doesn’t sound like it!
Well, there was much knashing of teeth when I wrote that Ty Cobb Jr. was fired from the large lobbyist law firm Jones Vargas. Well everybody, read ‘em and weep.
One of the many intrepid readers who make this site so interesting put a comment in the long string of comments on the Ty Cobb Jr. Fired by Jones Vargas Lawfirm story which reads:
Comment Says: October 30th, 2006 at 11:26 pm
Well looks like you get an âFâ on your homework Mr. Jerz.
Cobb is no longer at Jones Vargas.
http://jonesvargas.com/associates.php
The commenter posts a link to the Jones Vargas list of Associates that no longer shows Ty Cobb Jr. as an associate lawyer with Jones Vargas.
The knashing of teeth came from readers of this site who immediately claimed that Cobb wasn’t “fired”, but was merely leaving on friendly terms. One local blogger contacted Ty Cobb Jr. and guess what Cobb told him. That’s right, Cobb didn’t reveal that he was asked to leave because nobody wanted to work with him (sounds like a firing to me). I was accused of not getting enough evidence even though all of the sources prefer to remain anonymous probably out of fear of being crushed by the RINO Bill Raggio political machine.
Now the facts have caught up with the speculators. Cobb is no longer at Jones Vargas.
Now, even if Cobb Jr. left of his own accord like the naysayers claim, isn’t it questionable for a Nevada Assembly Candidate to temporarily work at one of the largest, most influential law firms in the state, just to get elected in the primary and then quit the law firm even before the general election takes place?
I have kept quiet thus far about this Jim Gibbons accusation by Chrissy Mazzeo because it is a very serious issue. If Jim Gibbons did assualt this woman, he deserves to be punished. I have tried to avoid trying this case in the court of public opinion as many people have already done. Then I saw this article at RGJ.com and I couldn’t help it.
When I read this, my BS meter went flying clear past “something is a little fishy”, and didn’t stop until somewhere around “how stupid does this b**** think we are?”.
‘I want the truth to come out,’ Mazzeo, a single mother, said.
I don’t know if Ms. Mazzeo realizes this, but THAT’S WHY WE HAVE A COURT SYSTEM! If she really wanted the truth to come out, she would not have dropped the charges. She dropped them because THE TRUTH WOULD HAVE COME OUT!
This is a perfect example of a losing candidate and a last ditch effort to slander a Congressman. While I have no knowledge that Titus or any other Democrat was involved, I would not be suprised. Just based on the statements Ms. Mazzeo made today, I really believe she lacks the intelligence to conduct this political hit on her own.

It’s a little late to be posting about the last debate, but I’ve been very busy and this deserved a mention. So Jack Carter has a “Libertarian bent”, I think is what he called it. So does Nevada. That’s what ole’ Jack would like us to believe. Quite ironic that in the very same debate where he claims to be a libertarian, he also came out in favor of a government funded election system.
In case you missed it, Cactus Jack thinks the way to make elections fair is for the challenger to raise money, and for the government to match those funds and donate them to the incumbent. He probably should have run that statement by his libertarian bent for a policy congruancy check before he said it.
I don’t think there is a Libertarian on the planet that would endorse a state funded campaign.

It is funny to watch a debate like the one between Senator John Ensign and candidate Jack Carter. It seemed like every challenge uttered by Jack Carter was another chance for John Ensign to illustrate his many accomplishments as a U.S. Senator.
Hey Jack, no matter how much you try to sound down home Nevadan, we all know you are a Georgian carpetbagger trying to sneak into the Senate through what you consider a back door. Well, partner, Nevada is a back door to nobody. By the way Jack, when you speak, we hear your yokel accent everytime which grates on the ‘ol nerves. Jack Carter and Dina Titus have to be pals because I know when they are talking together they don’t perceive the chalkboard scratching accents that they both have. Liberals of a feather, flock together.
On a good note, Jack Carter only has a bad podunk accent. At least he doesn’t also sound like my mother-in-law as does Dina Titus!
